Terms and Conditions 

Standard booking terms & conditions
The booking of accommodation is a contract between the customer and the Pukekohe Motel management. We agree to provide the accommodation booked and services used unless it has been cancelled by them in accordance with the Pukekohe Motel’s cancellations policies. (See below)

Rooms Pricing
Rooms rate offered are per night basis and are in New Zealand dollars. Price includes GST (Good & Services tax) of 15%.
Room rates vary throughout the year from the low season prices in the middle of winter to the peak season prices in the middle of summer and/or for major event weekends. Pukekohe Motel website shows room rates and availability on any particular day.

Payment Policy
If you intend to pay by cash you will be asked to pay a bond on arrival. (Refundable on departure)
All reservations require a valid credit card for Booking. First-night accommodation rate will be required upon booking. You will be requested to present your valid credit card and ID on check-in at the motel for verification.
You will be charged a prepayment of the total price at any time.

Specials and Packages
Packages and specials are subject to availability and cannot be used in conjunction with other special offers. Special conditions may apply.

Payment Methods
Pukekohe Motel accepts the following forms of payment: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, EFTPOS and Cash.

Cancellation 

Credit card number and expiry date are required to confirm all bookings.

We require 72 hours notice of cancellation, if this is not received Pukekohe Motel will charge the full booking amount.

A $20.00 admin fee will apply to all cancellations and changes up to 72 hours prior to arrival date

In peak periods and some special events a minimum night stay may apply, this includes a 7 day cancellation policy.

All cancellations must be received in writing to bookings@pukekohemotel.co.nz

No phone cancellations are accepted.

Should guests alter or depart before the reserved departure date refunds will only be given at management discretion.

No show – fail to arrive

As Pukekohe Motel has a contract with you and holds your booking in good faith pending your arrival, if you fail to arrive for your booking, you will be charged the full cost of the accommodation booked.

Early departure

Departure earlier than the reserved date may not result in a refund, unless Pukekohe Motel is able to replace the booking.
In the event of a late cancellation every effort will be made to resell the room and you will only be responsible for the cost if this is unsuccessful.

Group Bookings

Please note the booking of accommodation is a legal and binding contract.

Credit card number and expiry date are required to confirm all bookings.

3 or more units are deemed to be a group booking.

A 20% non- refundable deposit, ( of the total booking) is required within 7 days of making the reservation. This must be received before confirmation of booking is given.

All cancellations must be received in writing to bookings@pukekohemotel.co.nz

No phone cancellations are accepted.

Cancellation of Group bookings must be notified no later than 30 days prior to the expected date of arrival. All cancellations less than 30 days prior to the expected date of arrival will be charged for the accommodation booked unless we are able to replace the booking.

Bookings made and cancelled will incur a $20.00 administration fee.

Refunds
Refunds will only be made to the credit card/debit card debited for the original transaction.

Changes / Amendments to bookings
All changes/amendments to bookings must be made by the person who made the original reservation, you can send request by writing or via phone or by email on bookings@pukekohemotel.co.nz

Peak periods and major events
In peak periods and for major events a minimum night stay and special cancellation conditions may apply.

Reservations/Pre-Bookings
Pre-bookings are accepted for any date during the current year, and any extended future dates if known. Pre-booking is recommended during peak periods.

To make a reservation you must be 18 years of age or over.

In making a reservation Pukekohe Motel requires the guests name, address, contact telephone (landline and mobile) numbers, and email address.

To confirm the reservation Pukekohe Motel requires a valid credit card number and expiry date. Pukekohe Motel reserves the right to charge a credit card at the time the booking is made or pre-authorise a credit card.

Reservations made where the customer does not have a credit card, will be required to pay the full value of the stay. These unconfirmed reservations will be held for an agreed period pending receipt of the payment, and will be confirmed once the payment has been received. Should payment not be received by the agreed time, the reservation will be cancelled.
Reservations made and paid for in cash without the security of a valid credit card, may be required to pay a reservation bond. This will be refunded once room has been checked at the time of check out.

Check-in & Check-out
Pukekohe Motel welcomes your arrival and check in starts from 2.00pm till 9:00pm. Guests arriving prior to this time may on occasion be provided with rooms when they arrive, but only by pre-arrangement. Check out time is 10.00am on the day of departure or later by prior arrangement.

Check – in time starts at 2:00pm
Check – in ends at 8:30pm
Check – out time is 10am

Reception hours are:
• Monday to Friday 8:30am to 8:30pm.
• Saturday and Sunday, Public Holidays 9.00am to 7.00pm.

If you are unable to check-in during Reception hours, please telephone Reception on (09) 238 9211 to arrange a late check-in or key collection. Guests who do not contact us may be charged a late check-in fee of $50.00.

Internet usage and copyright

Pukekohe Motel provides wi-Fi to enable its customers to access email accounts and to search for information via the internet.
Under New Zealand Copyright Law the rights holders (owners) of movies, TV shows, and music can now send fines of up to $15,000 to Pukekohe Motel if their copyrights are infringed. To access Pukekohe Motel’s internet system a unique login is provided to each person. If you infringe any rights holders copyright, and Pukekohe Motel is fined, those fines will be passed onto you.

Special Check –in instructions
WiFi Internet Password and Username can be collected at the office on arrival (FREE OF CHARGE).

Important Information
Extra – person charges may apply and vary depending on the motel policy. Children up to and including 10 years old stay for NZD 15.00 per person per night when using an available extra bed. People 11 years old and over stay for NZD 25.00 per person per night when using an available extra bed.
Government – issued photo identification and credit card or cash deposit required at check – in for incidental charges.
Rooms are serviced between the hours of 10am – 1pm.
No visitors after 8:00pm
If you make any damage to Pukekohe motel units or property you will be charged for the damage cost.
Please take into consideration we have others staying in the Motel and to keep the noise down to a minimum.

Child Policy
Children upto 2 years of age and under are free of charge when accompanied by a paying adult. Cots are available on request, free of charge.
In circumstances where additional beds or bedding are required or used, the extra person rate will apply.
Guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a guest of 18 years or over.

Damages
Damage to motel property should be reported immediately. Any extra cleaning, repairs or replacements required to restore our guest rooms or property to its normal condition will be charged to the registered guest at replacement cost or market rates, plus a charge for any resultant loss of income if applicable.
If any drain blockages occur in the bathroom or kitchen facilities you must report it immediately. Continued use of those facilities which results in flooding, you will be charged for any cleaning and repairs caused and for the days where the room is not able to be occupied.

Room condition
If your room is left in an unsatisfactory state, this includes, excessive rubbish, misuse of motel property (including linen), any unhygienic uncleanliness, soiling, excessive mess or odour in the kitchen, which causes excessive and unwarranted cleaning time by Pukekohe Motel staff, Pukekohe Motel reserves the right to charge for the cost of extra cleaning, repairs or replacements required to restore our guest rooms or property to its normal condition.

Visitors

Guests’ visitors are welcome. The registered guest is responsible for the behaviour of all persons/visitors whilst on the property. Pukekohe Motel asks that you consider and respect other guests and by keeping noise levels to a minimum.

All visitors not booked into the motel are expected to leave the premises quietly before 8.00pm.
Pukekohe Motel does not allow large, noisy gatherings or parties in its guest rooms. Excessive noise, disturbing other guests, may result in you being requested to vacate Pukekohe Motel, without refund.
All deliberate or reckless acts that result in damage to Pukekohe Motel property, that require specialist cleaning or repair will be charged to the registered guest.

Pets

With the exception of guide dogs, we do not allow pets in our guest rooms.

Smoking
Smoking is NOT permitted in our units.  PLEASE make sure to smoke away from any open windows and to put your butts in the ashtray which is located outside your room.  If you do smoke in our units the Pukekohe Motel reserves the right to charge such costs and any resulting loss of income to the registered guest. “Resulting loss of income” could be the following guests refusing to stay in that booked room.

Portacots
Portacots are available.

Parking
Whilst we have good parking facilities please be aware of the basic rule of 1 x carpark per unit. If you arrive with extra vehicles / trailers please don’t be offended if we ask you to park on the road.

Should you experience any difficulties with your accommodation, please contact either our reception during your stay to register your concern or email us on bookings@pukekohemotel.co.nz.
We will make every effort to rectify the situation and make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
